Upper West Reflection

Some paintings are really about light hitting a person at exactly the right moment. That's what I was after here—a reflective, intimate mood with a touch of ambiguity. Set in a prewar Upper West Side apartment, with stained-glass windows filtering the light, the background gives the scene just enough contrast to feel suspended between observation and memory.
